Aisha (radiAllāhu anha) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said ‘Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have twice that reward.’ [Al-Bukhari]

In this intermediate level tajweed course students will be using Shaykhah Kareema Czerepinski's Tajweed Rules of the Quran, Part 2 textbook to continue mastering various tajweed topics. Among the topics covered in this course are the characteristics of the Arabic letters, tafkheem and tarqeeq, meeting of two letters and the connecting hamzah.

After finishing this course, dedicated students will be able to recite the Quran with a strong command of the articulation points & characteristics of the Arabic letters and application of the rules of noon and meem sākinah.

Prerequisite(s): Students should have a strong desire to master the recitation of the Qur'an as the Prophet ﷺ recited. Students should have previously studied the articulation points (makhaarij) of the Arabic letters, rules of noon sākinah/tanween and mudood/lenthenings. Students must be female of 14 years of age or older.
