Social Media Lead
Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and creative Social Media Lead to elevate Jannah Institute’s and Dr. Haifaa Younis' social media presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, data-driven social media strategy that deepens engagement, grows our audience, and reflects the mission and values of Jannah Institute. The Social Media Lead will oversee all social media activities, mentor and manage the Social Media Assistant, and work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent and impactful communication across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic, data-driven social media plan that supports Jannah Institute’s vision, programs, and growth goals.
- Manage and oversee all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring consistent, high-quality, and engaging content.
- Mentor and guide the Social Media Assistant, providing feedback, support, and ensuring alignment with strategy.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule content calendars in collaboration with the marketing team, ensuring timely and relevant posts aligned with ongoing initiatives.
- Engage actively with the online community — respond to comments, DMs, and foster positive discussions in line with Islamic values.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to track growth, engagement, and reach, and provide actionable insights and monthly reports.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends and platform updates, integrating innovative approaches to increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Identify and build relationships with relevant influencers, Islamic organizations, and community partners for collaborations and broader reach.
- Ensure all content, tone, and interactions are aligned with Islamic ethics and Jannah Institute’s mission.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in social media management and strategy development.
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms, analytics, and engagement best practices across major platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in community management, including fostering engagement and handling sensitive interactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, authentic, and brand-aligned content.
- Leadership and organizational skills, including experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
- Deep understanding of Islamic principles, etiquette, and online community standards.
Preferred Qualifications & Personal Qualities
- Experience working with Islamic educational or nonprofit organizations.
- Familiarity with social media advertising and promotions (e.g., Facebook/Instagram Ads).
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe) or coordination with designers for visual content.
- Strong sense of initiative, creativity, and strategic thinking.

Outreach and Fundraising Lead
Position Summary
The Outreach & Fundraising Lead will play a pivotal role in expanding Jannah Institute’s reach and growing its donor and supporter base. This role combines outreach strategy, community engagement, and fundraising leadership to ensure Jannah Institute continues to thrive and fulfill its mission. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive communicator and relationship builder who understands the landscape of Islamic organizations and can effectively represent Jannah Institute's vision and values.
This is a remote role (25 hours per week) requiring flexibility for events and occasional travel (~10%)
Key Responsibilities
Outreach & Community Engagement
- Develop and implement outreach strategies that promote Jannah Institute's mission, programs, and values to diverse audiences, both locally and globally.
- Identify and build relationships with potential community partners, masjids, organizations, and collaborators to foster new opportunities and expand Jannah Institute's network.
- Manage outreach communications, including responding to collaboration inquiries, initiating partnerships, and maintaining relationships with community leaders.
- Coordinate and manage event logistics for Jannah Institute-hosted programs, speaking engagements, and external events where Dr. Haifaa or JI representatives are invited.
- Organize and manage local and national events, including venue coordination, scheduling, and on-the-ground logistics for JI events, retreats, and partner-hosted programs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align outreach efforts with promotional campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging and optimized engagement.
- Maintain a centralized calendar of outreach activities and events, ensuring clear communication and efficient planning across teams.
- Prepare weekly updates and strategic recommendations for Dr. Haifaa and the Executive Director, ensuring alignment on priorities and goals.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for Dr. Haifaa and team members, including flights, accommodations, and event-specific needs.
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
- Develop and lead fundraising strategies that align with Jannah Institute’s mission and annual fundraising goals.
- Identify, approach, and build relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grantmakers, cultivating long-term support for the organization.
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and initiatives (e.g., Ramadan, end-of-year appeals, donor drives), working closely with marketing to ensure effective messaging and outreach.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Lead and team to create impactful donor communications, including sponsorship proposals, campaign messaging, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate fundraising events and community engagement initiatives, including dinners, online appeals, and donor appreciation activities.
- Work closely with Finance and Marketing to track and manage donor data, including pledges, contributions, and engagement history, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- Work closely with the Finance Coordinator to ensure timely processing of donations, acknowledgments, and reporting.
- Provide regular fundraising reports to leadership, analyzing performance and identifying areas for growth.
Administrative & Support Duties
- Order and manage books and materials for events, including inventory tracking and shipping coordination.
- Finalize contracts for speaking engagements, collaborations, and events, ensuring all logistics are confirmed and documented.
- Maintain organized records of outreach and fundraising activities, including event details, partnerships, and donor engagement history.
- Ensure post-event follow-up, including thank-you communications, payment confirmations, and sharing event recordings with marketing for future use.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in project management, outreach, fundraising, donor relations, or community engagement, preferably in an Islamic or nonprofit setting.
- Strong understanding of Islamic values, community dynamics, and professional etiquette, with the ability to represent Jannah Institute authentically.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, present Jannah Institute’s mission clearly, and inspire support.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong project management and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in event planning and coordination, including managing logistics and working with various stakeholders.
- Strong writing and communication skills, including drafting emails, proposals, and donor correspondence.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and leadership.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and comfortable working in digital systems for tracking and communication.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications & Personal Qualities
- Experience working in Islamic education, nonprofits, or faith-based community organizations.
- Previous fundraising campaign development and management experience.

Position Summary
Jannah Institute is seeking a creative and skilled Copywriter to craft compelling, engaging, and Islamically-aligned content that reflects our mission and speaks directly to our global audience. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer with a strong grasp of Islamic values and the ability to create impactful content for various platforms, including social media, email, web, and print.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, engaging, and authentic content for Jannah Institute's digital and print platforms, including website copy, social media posts, email campaigns, and marketing materials.
- Ensure all content reflects Jannah Institute’s Islamic ethos, values, and brand voice while resonating with our diverse target audience.
- Research and develop creative narratives and storytelling for social media, blogs, course promotions, and community engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing and creative teams to refine messaging, brainstorm content ideas, and align campaigns with ongoing programs and initiatives.
- Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of clarity, grammar, and consistency.

- Strong time management and organizational skills, able to meet deadlines and manage multiple content requests.
